Panels/Enclosures
Soundscreen - Industrial Acoustical Panel Systems
Every industrial noise problem has a variety of possible solutions with different cost/benefit options. Acoustical panel projects usually have their own assembly, performance, equipment access, and maintenance requirements. That is why McGill AirSilence offers four different acoustical panel products that can be integrated into a variety of packages. They combine state-of-the-art acoustical technology and materials to withstand the harsh environments and rough use associated with industrial manufacturing. McGill AirSilence`s Type SL, TG, RR, and WA-1000 acoustical panel systems give you consistently high quality and excellent performance at an economical price.
Uni-Housing - Pressurized Enclosures
Uni-Housing enclosures are an excellent choice for enclosing many types of HVAC equipment. Their modular panel construction creates a strong, self-supporting, and long-lasting enclosure that can be used for both indoor and outdoor applications. They are designed to have low leakage, provide excellent thermal and acoustical control, and facilitate easy on-site assembly. Depending upon the application and size of the enclosure, McGill AirSilence can deliver finished units or subassemblies to the job site.
Quiet Haven - Heavy-Duty, Industrial Personnel Enclosures
McGill AirSilence`s Quiet Haven enclosures effectively isolate personnel from noise in industrial environments. They improve employee efficiency by isolating personnel from excessive sound without limiting machine access or operator visibility. Quiet Haven industrial personnel enclosures can be custom designed for a wide range of applications such as in-plant offices, control rooms, workstations, and testing laboratories. Quiet Haven industrial personnel enclosures can be shipped completely assembled or in sections to be assembled on site. They are finished painted with windows, doors, lights, and electric wiring, and ready for field hook-up. They can be equipped with silenced air intake and exhaust systems. Air conditioning and heating are optional. These enclosures are designed with forklift channels in the base for easy pick-up and relocation without disassembly.
Heatscreen - Oven Panels and Enclosures
McGill AirSilence`s Heatscreen oven enclosures are an excellent choice where the process requires controlled application of heat for baking, drying, or curing. They have low leakage, excellent thermal properties, and a large selection of design options and accessories to meet a customer`s specific needs. Applications include designs for the paint finishing, powder coating, food processing, baking, pharmaceutical industries, and others.
Silencers
Sounpak - Standard Silencer Models
Depending on the model, standard Sounpak silencers are manufactured in straight or elbow configurations and in round or rectangular shapes. They come with or without bullets or baffles and with or without acoustical fill or a vapor barrier and fill. There are models to handle airflow velocities from 0-10,000 fpm.
Model Standard Rectangular - Silencers
Rectangular, straight silencers are available in 3-, 5-, 7-, and 10-foot lengths. Both passive (acoustic filled) and reactive silencers are offered. Passive silencers may be ordered with a vapor barrier film between the fill material and the baffle wall. These silencers are good for low plenum velocity to medium velocity applications. Rectangular silencers are available in galvanized steel, paintable steel, 304 and 316 stainless steels, and aluminum.
Model Standard Round - Silencers
Circular (round) silencers are available in standard inner diameters of 12 to 60 inches. The length varies as a condition of pressure and insertion loss requirements. Applications include low- to high-velocity systems. Passive silencers may be ordered with a vapor barrier between the fill and the baffle wall. Circular silencers are available in galvanized steel, paintable steel, 304 and 316 stainless steels, and aluminum.
Curtain Systems
Curtain Systems
Reduce the Transmission of Machine-Generated Noise Without Hampering Worker Access to the Machinery. Moderate industrial noise control problems (requiring 5-15 dBA noise reduction) can often be solved with McGill AirSilence`s flexible acoustical curtain systems. Made of durable panels, our curtain systems are designed for the toughest industrial environments. Whether acting as full or partial enclosures, machinery shrouds and hoods, partitions, or barrier walls, they reduce the transmission of machine-generated noise without hampering worker access to the machinery. McGill AirSilence offers three main types of panels for its acoustical curtain systems: double-layer blocking, single-layer blocking, and absorption. Transparent panels are also available.
DIY Noise Control
Soundscreen - Acoustical Ceiling & Wall Baffles
McGill AirSilence`s Soundscreen acoustical ceiling and wall baffle (ACWB) is a scrim-wrapped, highly efficient, tuned baffle designed for mid to low frequency noise absorption. The ACWB consists of a semi-rigid fiberglass core completely encapsulated within a 2-mil-thick, reinforced foil/polypropolene cover. The ACWB is available in standard sizes up to 4 feet by 8 feet, and in thicknesses of 1 inch (ACWB-1) and 2 inches (ACWB-2). NRCs are 0.75 and 0.94, respectively, when tested in a number 4 mounting (direct mounted). The ACWB has flame spread and smoke spread developed ratings of 5 each making them suitable for applications requiring low flame and smoke emissions. These board-like baffles provide good structural integrity and are damage resistant. They can be used in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 450°F.
Soundscreen - Wedge Foam
Fire Retardant: Our fire-retardant Class 1 wedge foam can withstand constant temperatures up to 302°F and short-term temperatures up to 482°F. It meets tough government fire codes for schools, churches, and laboratories. Like Soundscreen standard Wedge Foam, our 2- by 4-foot sheets of fire-retardant foam can easily be cut to fit smaller spaces. A Hypalon® coating my be applied to the foam surface to repel oil, acid, and solvents. The Hypalon coating makes the foam washable.
