Measurand - Advanced ShapeArray
The most advanced ShapeArray™ makes installation even simpler. SAAV is designed to be the most versatile ShapeArray™ available. Think fast, simple, and direct installation to capture real-time deformation data vertically, horizontally, or in an arc. SAAV’s patented cyclical installation method means it can be directly inserted into a range of casing sizes and widths, including both standard grooved inclinometer casings and smooth casing types, without assembly in the field. Measurand’s software tracks the medial axis in the centre of the casing in 3D to produce traditional inclinometer plots.

Purpose-built for heavy-duty horizontal measurement: soil settlement, rail-line deformation, and pipeline monitoring. SAAX’s watertight construction combines twist-resistant joints and thick-walled stainless steel segment tubes. The construction contains a compact array of MEMS accelerometers. SAAX delivers superior cost-benefit returns to project budgets. All ShapeArray™ installations are fast and low-cost, requiring far fewer people than traditional in-place inclinometers. SAAX is rolled off a reel and set into user-installed conduit. SAAX’s segment length is 1000 mm. SAAX can be manufactured to a maximum length of 150 m. All ShapeArrays are manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified facility.

Built for rapid deployment and repeated use. The instrument of choice for one-shot verification of the alignment of jet-grouting holes. Thick-walled 500 mm segments provide great spatial detail and resist damage. Designed to be used, moved, and re-used as quickly as possible, SAAScan is ideal for applications where borehole shape must be measured repeatedly—jet grouting and borehole drilling, for example. SAAScan’s robust and durable construction combines twist-resistant joints and thick-walled stainless steel segments. The construction contains a compact array of MEMS gravity sensors.

DISCONTINUED: SAAF is a versatile ShapeArray with a range of available segment lengths that enable tailoring of spatial resolution and maximum curvature. Ideal for long-term monitoring horizontally, vertically, or in an arc. The SAAF is one of the most versatile types of ShapeArray that Measurand manufactures. SAAF measures ground and structural deformation, settlement, and subsidence. SAAF’s design—rigid stainless steel sensorized segments connected by flexible joints—is durable. SAAF may be installed near vertical to track the magnitude and direction of lateral deformation, or near horizontal to track vertical deformation.
