Transwab - Gel Amies Plain
TRANSWAB® Amies is a single swab with a rayon bud type. It is available with gel media. Gel media is used in traditional culture techniques. TRANSWAB® gel medium (Amies) is good for recovery of aerobes, anaerobes and fastidious organisms. All our TRANSWAB® products are compliant with the CLSI standard M40-A2. This standard is for the Quality Control of Microbiological Specimen Transport Devices.

Double Ended Swab
A DOUBLE ENDED SWAB also a DRYSWAB has a wooden shaft with a taper tip bud on both ends. This is used for sampling at crime scenes and within forensics. The removable plug at bottom end allows air drying of sample without mould formation.

MWE’s MICROLOOP® are medical devices, are CE marked, and meet ISO Standards. Sterile plastic MICROLOOP® and needles by MWE are made with precision moulded smooth edges to prevent gouging of the agar surface. They also ensure good wettability for safe transfer of liquid samples. For comfortable handling and control, these MICROLOOP® have a rigid yet flexible dual sectional shaft. 3 loop sizes: 1μl, 5μl, 10μl, including needle version.
Sigma - Model SP - Novel Reagent for Sputum Sample Collection
∑-SP™ is a novel reagent for sputum sample collection. It is available in ready to use liquid format for the rapid liquefaction of sputum specimens in preparation for inoculation on automated platforms or by manual methods. The reagent has a more powerful mucolytic activity than dithiothreitol, but is also ready to use in a neutral pH solution that is stable at ambient temperature and requires no special storage conditions. ∑-SP™ in ready to use format is particularly suited for use on automated platforms. The tubes and caps are completely compatible with most platforms currently in use.
