High density polyethylene (HDPE) is a material derived from petroleum. It is widely used especially in the industrial and manufacturing sectors. HDPE is used in the production of pressure pipes, gas distribution pipes, irrigation distribution network pipes, bottles, canisters, barrels, white goods, machine parts, toys, household goods, packaging films, lamination, electrical and electronic goods. High density polyethylene material is also used in boat and warehouse construction due to its water resistance.

Low density polyethylene (LDPE) is the abbreviation of the English words Low- density polyethylene. It is the first type of polyethylene. Low density polyethylene has high chemical resistance. For this reason, it is frequently preferred in the field of coating and protection.

It is an abbreviation for “Linear low density polyethylene”. LLDPE is used in various areas such as thin bags and thin films, stretch films, covers, buckets, cable coverings.

It is a colorless, practically odorless, poisonous, hygroscopic liquid with a sweetish taste. It is miscible in water, alcohol, ether, acetone, and ethylene glycol. DEG is a widely used solvent. Diethylene Glycol is used as a dehydrating agent for natural gas; a raw material for the production of plasticizers and polyester resins; a humectant; a textile lubricant and coupling agent; a solvent in textile dyeing and printing; a constituent of hydraulic fluids; a plasticizer for paper, cork and synthetic sponges; a solvent in printing inks; a raw material for the production of esters used as emulsifiers, demulsifiers, and lubricants; and a selective solvent for aromatics in petroleum refining.

It is a slightly viscous liquid with a clear, colourless appearance and a sweet taste that emits virtually no odour. It’s miscible with water, alcohols, and many other organic compounds and is primarily used in the industry for manufacturing polyester fibres and as a component in the production of antifreeze, coolants, aircraft antiicers and deicers.

TEG is a colorless, viscous liquid with a slight odor. It is non-flammable, mildly toxic, and considered non-hazardous. TEG is a member of a homologous series of dihydroxy alcohols. It is used as a plasticizer for vinyl polymers as well as in the manufacture of air sanitizer and other consumer products. TEG is used in the manufacture of a host of consumer products that include anti-freeze, automotive care products, building and construction materials, cleaning and furnishing care products, fabric, textile, and leather products, fuels and related products, lubricants and greases, paints and coatings, personal care products, and plastic and rubber products.

Phthalic anhydride is used as a hardener in the paint industry and plastic industry. It is a raw material that has no alternative, especially for the paint industry.

Polypropylene, a synthetic resin built up by the polymerization of propylene. One of the important family of polyolefin resins, polypropylene is molded or extruded into many plastic products in which toughness, flexibility, light weight, and heat resistance are required. It is also spun into fibres for employment in industrial and household textiles. Propylene can also be polymerized with ethylene to produce an elastic ethylene-propylene copolymer.

Economical, versatile PVC, that is, polyvinyl chloride, is used in various applications in various products ranging from construction building materials, healthcare industry, flooring materials, electronics industry, suspended ceiling materials, automobile industry, pipe and coating materials, blood bag material and cable coating. As it is strong and resistant to moisture and wear, PVC is ideal for gym floors, windows, roofing, fencing, PVC wall coverings and carpet tile flooring. Approximately three-quarters of all PVC material produced is used for long-lasting building and construction applications.

Titanium dioxide (TiO2) is a naturally occurring, processed and refined mineral. For instance, it is used for whitening purposes in sunscreens, paints, plastics, inks, rubber and cosmetic products.
