General purpose pillows absorb non-aggressive fluids, such as oil, water, glycols, etc. Just slide a pillow under a leaking motor or within the interior of spilled fluid on a plant floor, and it does the rest.

Hazmat absorbent pillows absorb most aggressive fluids and most non-aggressive fluids. Since most users do not have acids or caustic fluids leaking regularly, hazmat pillows are typically stored in areas that have the potential for a large fluid release/emergency response situation.

Oil-Only pillows absorb hydrocarbon-based fluids and repel water. These absorbent pillows are typically used to catch leaks under equipment or horizontal drums, but they can also be used to skim oil off of water.
