Chemical Membrane Filtration
Electrodeionization System
MEMBRANE has cooperated developing third-generation EDI stacks with a US partner. Our stacks are continuous, without recirculation, simplified units (patent pending) for uninterrupted service. The ideal match to our EDI systems is our OSMODEMI Series (RO demineralization units). Seamless integration allows for continuous production with any feed water and very stable operation conditions for yeas. The technology advantage gained in many units installed has allowed MEMBRANE confidently offer reliable units to demanding customers. Flowrates range from 1 m3/h to 200 m3/h, and more by using modular trains.
Ultrapure - Reverse Osmosis Systems
Our Reverse Osmosis systems are designed with the Electronic Industry in mind. From two-pass arrays to multistage process configuration including Electrodeionization, all MEMBRANE`s ultra pure water units are custom-designed to achieve the theoretical limits of water purity, up to 18.3 MegaOhm*cm specific resistivity. Our ultrapure water packages are based on proprietary processes and our own patents. The technology advantage gained in over several hundred units installed bolsters MEMBRANE`s effectiveness in addressing even the most demanding requests by Electronic firms. Flowrates range from 5 m3/h to 1000 m3/h, and more by using modular trains.

Membrane - Purified Water Reverse Osmosis (RO) Or Nanofiltration (NF) Systems
Our purified water makers are pure Reverse Osmosis (RO) or Nanofiltration (NF) systems. All units are USP and cGMP compliant and rely on patented processes that yield smooth performance over time.
Nanofiltration System
Several pharmaceutical preparations and solutions are now concentrated with Nanofiltration. In several cases this process is sided to diafiltration and/or Ultrafiltration. Oil and Gas Membrane Filtration
Membrane - Sulphate Removal Systems
Sulphate Removal Packages are automatic units that produce softened water in any flowrate. Special NF membranes are employed to meet specific industry needs in the most demanding environments, under complete reliability of operation. The invested capital is significantly lower than competitor`s due to the lack of royalties and premium prices, with our process. Sulphates are rejected >97% at pressures between 25-35barg depending on the location, recovery factor, and temperature. Pre-treatments and post-treatments are possible as integrated parts, optionally available on all our systems. Modules are designed in such a way that any custom solution is achieved upon Customer`s request. Flowrates range from 100 m3/h to 2000 m3/h are achieved with a single bank of NF elements.
Membrane - Fine Filtration Systems
Fine Filtration Packages are special ASME VIII pressure filters for the oil&gas industry, capable of managing large flowrates and withholding fine particles. The typical fine filtration unit is capable of separating 95-98% of 3-5 micron particles constituting suspended solids in water. As the typical application is water injection in oil or gas well, the flow rates involved reach and exceed hundreds of m3/h.
Membrane - Nitrogen Production Packages
Nitrogen production packages employ permselective membranes to extract pure N2 from atmospheric air (typical purity: 98-99%). All units are PLC controlled to ensure smooth production under controlled conditions. A series of pre-treatments are available to complete the process, depending on air quality and physical characteristics available at inlet. Pretreatments include pressurization, heat-exchange, dehydration, oil removal, or fine particle removal. Units are very easy to operate and require little maintenance. Smooth, 24h/7d operation is ensured by solid process principles and extended experience in this field. The design is modular, thus allowing any flow rate to be achieved. Examples of flowrates employed on FPSO range from a 100 Nm3/h to 1000 Nm3/h.
