The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the novel coronavirus, known as COVID-19, a global pandemic on March 12, 2020, therefore changing our lives in the process. Around the world, different mitigation strategies have been employed to slow the spread and decrease the risk of exposure to the virus at federal, regional and state government levels. Essential employees are designated as those who perform critical operations in Healthcare/Public Health and Infrastructure fields such as
The analysis of water for volatile organic compounds is important due to their toxicity.
The current methods for this determination lack of sensitivity, selectivity or capability for automation. This paper presents the new ISO 17943 Standard using Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME) and GC/MS. The sample preparation by SPME enables limits of detection and easy automation of the whole method. GC/MS provides the required sensitivity and selectivity.

The quality of drinking water is regulated by a variety of guidelines, such as the EU Council Directive 98/831,2 and WHO guideline.3 The key principles used to define these limits consider both health hazards and sensory and technical reasons. Iron, for example, does not exhibit a risk for health in concentr

Water in petrochemical feedstocks can cause problems for processors. Freezing of pipe lines and valves and poisoning of expensive catalysts are just a few examples.
Monitoring water in petroleum from an upstream source to the downstream processing plant is critical to insure uninterrupted operation.

Abstract
In this paper the importance of reagent water quality for toxic element environmental analyses is discussed, and the suitability of fresh ultrapure water produced using Merck water purification systems for ICP-OES and ICP-MS trace element analyses in environmental laboratories is demonstrated.

Globally, over 80% of the wastewater generated by society flows back into the environment without being treated or reused.1Clean water is an essential part of daily life, from catchment all the way through to wastewater treatment, therefore analysis throughout the whole cycle is crucial. Whether in lakes, pipes, or bottles, we can accompany you with our ran

Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are ubiquitous in the environment. They belong to a group known as persistent organic pollutants (POPs). Monitoring is important because they are identified as carcinogens. Multiple isomers exist, which are difficult to resolve chromatographically. SLB®-ILPAH is a special purpose column based on

Phosphorus is an essential element for organisms and plants.1 In natural, uncontaminated waters, it occurs as organically bound phosphate, condensed phosphates or as orthophosphate - often referred to by its chemical formula PO4-P. The small quantity of phosphorus present in natural waters does not promote the growth of pla
