Merck Aluspher - Model 100 RP-Select B - HPLC Columns

A Stable RP Stationary Phase, Optimized for Applications up to pH12. Merck’s Aluspher® RP-select B HPLC column is an alkali-stable reversed-phase stationary phase designed for the chromatographic separation of neutral, basic and acidic compounds under neutral conditions. Due to its stability in the pH range of 2-12, Aluspher® RP-select B allows the use of basic eluents, such as NaOH. This suppresses the ionization of basic compounds, and thus avoids peak tailing. Furthermore, advanced formulation technology has enabled the production of spherical alumina particles as a base for Aluspher® 100 RP-select B. The combination of alumina with alkaline eluents has led to new applications in HPLC.

Merck Superspher - HPLC Columns

Superspher® columns are specially designed for highly efficient HPLC separations. According to both theoretical calculation and practical experience, these high performance spherical silica carriers, with a mean particle size of 4 μm, provide an optimum pressure to separation performance ratio. The number of theoretical plates for Superspher® HPLC columns is > 100,000 N/. This makes them the ideal choice for complex sample mixtures that require high peak capacity.

Merck SupraSolv - Solvents for Gas Chromatography

SupraSolv® solvents from Merck are developed specially for sample preparation in gas chromatography. Ideally suited for all GC applications including sensitive detection tasks in residue and environmental analysis, SupraSolv® solvents offer you the security and reliability needed for today’s gas chromatography applications. No matter if you use ECD, FID or MS – our comprehensive portfolio of GC solvents offers a dedicated product quality for your specific application and detection method. Our SupraSolv® ECD and FID quality is specially developed and tested for ECD (Electron Capture Detector) and FID (Flame Ionization Detector). Typical applications include the determination of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) in water and soil or pesticides in fruits and vegetables.

Merck - Derivatisation Reagents

For analysis by gas chromatography, many samples, such as readily decomposed substances or those with low volatility, can only be investigated after their conversion to stable, volatile derivatives. Besides increasing sample volatility, derivatization reactions also improve the sensitivity of detection and enhance detectibility. Merck offers a high-quality range of acylating, alkylating and silylating derivatization reagents, as well as several ancillary reagents. The following table provides an overview of the application fields of our derivatization reagents.

Merck Certipur - Single-Element Standards for Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS)

With Certipur® AAS standards from Merck, you benefit from both a comprehensive portfolio and top quality for highest precision. All our AAS standards are traceable to standard reference materials from NIST. Merck offers AAS standards for a wide range of elements and ensures their accuracy and purity through strict quality control procedures. Quality management for Certipur® AAS standards is carried out using ICP-OES by our own calibration laboratory in Darmstadt, Germany, that has been accredited according to DIN EN ISO/ IEC 17025. Merck AAS standards come with an extensive, batch-specific Certificate of Analysis documenting data on the certified value, measurement uncertainty, composition, traceability, date of release and minimum shelf life.

Merck - Auxiliaries for Optimizing Analysis Conditions in AAS Measurements

As your one-stop provider for instrumental analysis via Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS), we offer a comprehensive choice of reagents for use in sample preparation as well as in calibration. Our portfolio of auxiliary reagents for optimizing analysis conditions comprises selected matrix modifiers and spectroscopic buffers for AAS measurements. Sample preparation is always a critical step in atomic spectroscopy analyses. In AAS applications, the reagents used for sample preparation must be very pure in order to make sure to reliably determine the trace elements you are analyzing for. To ensure that the measurement isn’t affected by interference it is recommended to use matrix modifier and spectroscopic buffer. Both reagents are available in a small range of elements or in different composition to suppress the interference.
