Climatronics maintains several specialized test capabilities in addition to the normal engineering test facilities. Our NIST-standards laboratory contains state-of-the-art instruments for the specialized area of the meteorological sciences, including a certified wind tunnel, an environmental chamber, a pressure testing facility, and sensor calibrators. The wind tunnel, with a test area of 2x2x6 feet, is used extensively for the development and calibration of wind instruments. All test procedures are traceable to NIST and follow ASTM or EPA recommended methods. The environmental chamber and pressure testing facility easily reach the limits of the conditions typically found in the lower atmosphere.

Equipment requiring repair or calibration for any reason should not be returned without a Return Authorization (RA) number. The RMA number may be obtained by contacting our Service Department.

Climatronics’ engineering facility is staffed by degreed engineers and outfitted with sufficient equipment to permit the efficient design and development of any type of environmental monitoring system. Our Engineering Department employs engineers and engineering technicians whose areas of expertise span a variety of disciplines, including mechanical design, circuit design, logic design, software development, system integration, and reliability engineering. Because our NY location is in one of the high-tech centers of the United States, we have available an extensive source of consultants, experts, and highly recognized environmental and engineering testing institutions to assist our in-house staff in solving problems as we extend the borders of environmental monitoring technology.
