Between 75% and 90% of the waste produced by health-care providers is non-risk or “general” health-care waste, comparable to domestic waste. It comes mostly from the administrative and housekeeping functions of health-care establishments and may also include waste generated during maintenance of health-care premises.

STAJEL - Liquid Medical Waste Management

The liquid portion of infectious medical waste would contaminate the environment to certain extent during at the points of generation, during the internal and external transports, interim storage and temporary storage, etc. by spillage, leak or accidents. The possible hazard by inhalation and contact might be very high and unpredictable. To prevent the predicted and un-predicted hazards of liquid form of the medical waste, super absorbent polymers were developed which would absorb and jellify the liquid waste wherever they are.

Scrap Tire Management

Tire recycling: Tire recycling or rubber recycling is the process of recycling vehicles` tires that are no longer suitable for use on vehicles due to wear or irreparable damage (such as punctures). These tires are among the largest and most problematic sources of waste, due to the large volume produced, their durability, and the fact they contain a number of components that are ecologically problematic. It is estimated that 259 million tires are discarded annually (data is for the 1980s and 1990s).
