Since 2006 Michaelis has been sucessfully using its patented moved bed system. This system can treat a wide variety of fuels such as municipal waste, hazardous waste, biomass, refuse-derived fuel, plastics and also sludges. The Michaelis moved bed system has decisive advantages over the fluidized bed process.

The future-proof furnace type must be able to accept a wide variety of fuels. In addition, decentralised systems will increasingly be the first choice. Michaelis has developed and patented a moved bed system to meet these requirements.

Michaelis is the specialist for efficient gas cleaning systems. Very low emission values have been achieved. Many innovative special solutions are successfully in use.

According to the local emission regulation particles or gaseous pollutants have to be removed from the flue gas.

Wet electrostatic precipitators have been used for many decades for the effective separation of micro-particles and aerosols. Michaelis uses long term operational experiences in the industrial field and offers wet ESP systems with gas flow capacities from 500 Nm³/h upwards. Wet electrostatic precipitators are operated in water-saturated areas, i. e. after quenchers or scrubbers. The high moisture content of the flue gas increases the electrical conductivity. Under this condition even very small particles and aerosols are separated effectively.
