Middleton Solar - Pyrheliometer for Solar Direct Irradiance
The Middleton Solar DN5-B is an upgraded version of the DN5. It is an affordable precision pyrheliometer for measuring solar Direct Normal Irradiance (DNI) when aimed at the sun. It exceeds the international accepted specifications for a Spectrally Flat Class B pyrheliometer. The DN5-B has a passive microvolt output, and the DN5-BE version has an in-built amplifier to give a millivolt output for easy signal measurement.
Middleton Solar - Precision Filter Radiometers
The Middleton Solar UVR1 series are precision filter radiometers for measuring solar global ultraviolet irradiance. The UVR1-T2 and UVR1-A2 are suitable for air pollution monitoring. The UVR1-B2 is suitable for biological and human erythema (sunburn) monitoring.
Middleton Solar - Sunshine Sensor
The SD4 Sunshine Sensor indicates the time the disk of the sun is not obscured by clouds. Four identical omni-directional sensors under a hemispherical shading canopy. Embedded microcontroller executes a sophisticated contrast-evaluation algorithm to accurately discriminate direct sunshine from diffuse sunlight.
Middleton Solar - Pyrgeomete
The Middleton Solar PG01 is for measurement of atmospheric long wave radiation. The Middleton Solar PG01 Pyrgeometer measures the long wave radiation emitted by the atmosphere (downwelling) or by the Earth surface (upwelling). It uses a passive thermoelectric sensor shielded by a flat silicon window. The PG01-E version has an in-built amplifier with a millivolt output for easy signal measurement.
