Millennium offers a complete program of services for the identification, evaluation, and control of chemical and physical hazards. Our staff includes professionals in offices across the United States who have industrial hygiene experience. Our personnel are available to provide in-plant evaluation of employee exposure to airborne dust and vapor contaminants, hazardous and explosive gases and vapors, non-ionizing radiation, noise, and vibration. They can evaluate the effectiveness of existing engineering and administrative controls, and will assist plant engineers and health and safety specialists in complying with applicable regulations. Millennium utilizes stringent quality assurance controls during each phase of a project. From determination of the scope of services to report review, senior-level personnel are involved to ensure the quality of our services and, in turn, our client’s satisfaction.

Millennium designs indoor air quality studies to best fit each client`s unique situation. Millennium meets with each client to understand their concerns and to aid in developing a site-specific investigation strategy. Services typically provided include: Initial building walk-through, occupant questionnaires and/or interviews. Review of site engineering drawings and specifications. Review of on-site operations and chemical storage (MSDS). Short-term or multi-day monitoring program. Datalogging equipment used for multi-day testing. Source assessments including comprehensive mold evaluations and water source determinations. Sophisticated video-boroscope examination for concealed conditions such as mold in wall cavities or HVAC duct examination for contamination. Sampling of chemical constituents of concern, which may include carbon monoxide, formaldehyde, pesticides, and other volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Detailed ventilation system evaluations by a Professional Engineer. `Sick building` evaluations, including bacteriological or fungal sampling. Comprehensive reports of findings with recommendations. Develop a mitigation strategy with remediation plans and specifications.

Providing asbestos and lead sampling and management, focusing on custom-designed programs, is what Millennium is known for and does best. Our approach is to work with you to determine the best approach for asbestos and lead sampling and management at your facilities, taking into account budgets, time constraints, personnel and public safety, and regulatory compliance. Millennium`s technical and project associates employ the AHERA (Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act) bulk sampling protocol and we can have samples picked up at any location required and delivered to an EPA accredited laboratory. In addition, NIOSH-trained field microscopists can provide rapid on-site air sample analysis during time-sensitive projects.

Millennium routinely provides Health & Safety training to a variety of clients, including the federal government. What that means for our clients is we have a clear understanding of what it takes to keep the public and our employees safe while performing potentially hazardous services. We are well versed in the latest regulations associated with the services we provide and communicate regularly with our clients on any compliance issues that arise. Millennium`s associate industrial hygienists have conducted monitoring projects in a wide variety of occupational settings. We typically follow the NIOSH Manual of Analytical Methods for sampling, when possible, or the specific OSHA standard. We have sampled for the full range of OSHA-regulated contaminants, from metals to fibers to solvents, including regulated carcinogens.

Millennium`s Biological Consulting services provide an array of investigative and emergency-response oriented services using the latest techniques and equipment. Whether responding to mold concerns within an occupied environment, floods, sewage spills, or other microbial contamination concerns, Millennium`s professional staff of industrial hygienists, environmental specialists and engineers, possess the expertise and skills required to recognize, evaluate and develop mitigation strategies for such concerns. Millennium`s team of professionals work with building owners, architects, engineers, facility managers and numerous other involved parties to identify, assess, evaluate and prepare response actions necessary to protect public health and an owner`s investment. Millennium staff is trained in the use of thermographic imagery, fiber optic video boroscope equipment, moisture meters, viable and nonviable sampling and many other assessment techniques.

Millennium is an industry leader in the field of environmental due diligence. Our Team members have performed environmental site assessments throughout the United States. We have provided services for dozens of national clients, Fortune 500 financial institutions and other industries. Additional due diligence services, from Phase II assessments through environmental restoration, often are contracted as follow-up to initial Phase I assessments.

Millennium provides a variety of environmental compliance assessment services. These assessments are integral to Millennium`s environmental management consulting. Assessment services are typically provided as part of a broader scope of work, which includes assisting clients in developing and improving overall environmental management programs at the corporate or business level. Millennium`s recommended approach to environmental auditing includes reviewing management systems and practices while auditing for regulatory compliance. Experience indicates that most causes of regulatory noncompliance are rooted in a lack of environmental policies, training, and employee communications. Conducting a review of the underlying systems generally leads to long-term solutions.

Millennium provides Environmental Management (EM) Services to assist clients in managing risk through correct interpretation of regulations.
