Mobiltex GCRTech - Transient Pressure/Flow Data Logger Engineered for Extreme Conditions
The PFM1-T data logger uses a new data logging architecture that allows the user to monitor pressure input in terms of average values based on typical logging rates plus minimum/ maximum values based on fast sampling rates down to 10 samples/second. PFM1-T transient logger can also detect and log pressure surge data up to 1000 readings per second without interfering with the main recordings. During threshold logging, the logger checks the pressure signal against the threshold settings 10 times per second and once triggered starts logging data at one of the configured log rate of 10Hz, 20Hz, 100Hz or 1KHz.

The GCRTech PTRI/TRI stores data in non-volatile memory organized into data files. Each data file is an independent data logger with its own start/stop time, sample rate, and logging rate. More than one data file can record different types of data for the same input channel.

Pressure management and control in water distribution systems is a proven technique for reducing leakage and the frequency of bursts. Normally, a PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) is set to a fixed outlet pressure to ensure a guaranteed minimum pressure to the critical point in the network during maximum flow conditions. Pressure management using PRV controllers enables pressure to be optimized with changing demand. Excess pressure from lower friction losses during low demand periods is reduced, lowering flows from background leakage and reducing pipe stresses & bursts to extend asset life. The GCRTech PFM1-AC is a Full Modulation electronic controller that enables the pressure into a zone to be controlled between two pre-set values (“low”and “high”) according to the demand (flow rate) or the time of day. This can achieve immediate water savings and enables the PRV to be controlled reliably and safely.
