SpectraMax - Multi-Mode Microplate Readers
The SpectraMax M Series Multi-Mode Microplate Readers measure UV and visible absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, fluorescence polarization, TRF and HTRF. Standard features include a cuvette port, spectral scanning in 1 nm increments, and up to six wavelengths per read. These robust readers have been placed in labs from Antarctica to the International Space Station. With optimized reagents, validation tools, and industry-leading SoftMax® Pro Software, they provide consistent performance.
SpectraMax - Multi-Mode Microplate Readers
The SpectraMax iD3 and iD5 Multi-Mode Microplate Readers measure absorbance, fluorescence, and luminescence. In addition, the iD5 reader measures TRF and FP and can be expanded to include TR-FRET, HTRF®, BRET, dual luciferase reporter assays with injectors, and western blot detection. With optimized reagents, option to operate the readers using the touchscreen or a computer, and industry-leading SoftMax® Pro Software, the readers provide an all access pass for breakthrough research.

SpectraMax - Microplate Reader
The SpectraMax 190 Microplate Reader from Molecular Devices is ideal for UV-Vis life science applications, especially DNA analysis. The multi-channel design truly mimics a dual-beam spectrophotometer. Each sample has a discrete sample beam and reference beam so that each well is measured directly, eliminating error due to variations in light output between the optic fibers. The system consists of eight sample beams and detectors and eight reference beams and detectors to deliver both superior precision and speed-of-reading across the microplate through 4.0 OD. Optional tools for verifying the SpectraMax 190 reader performance include the SpectraTest® ABS1 Absorbance Plate and IQ/OQ/PQ manual. Software tools for regulatory compliance, such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, are available through SoftMax® Pro GxP Software

Gemini - Microplate Readers
The Gemini XPS and EM Microplate Readers with dual monochromators provide a flexible environment to determine the optimal excitation and emission settings for fluorescence intensity assays. Multiple-point well scanning optimizes cell-based assay sensitivity. Comparison of relative fluorescence units (RFUs) between samples is allowed by a unique calibration against an internal standard. Temperature-sensitive reactions are monitored with consistent temperature regulation from ambient to 45°C.

The SpectraMax L Microplate Reader measures flash and glow luminescence assays in both 96- and 384-well plates. It is upgradeable to include a barcode reader, programmable injectors, and dual-channel configurations for a 2-fold increase for medium throughput. The high sensitivity, low-noise photomultiplier tubes (PMTs), and variable-volume injector configuration make this reader ideal for fast kinetic assays requiring continuous monitoring during injection and measurement.

StakMax - Microplate Handling System
The StakMax Microplate Handling System is a powerful, compact, benchtop microplate stacker that works seamlessly with Molecular Devices microplate readers and washers for improved process flow and higher throughput. The system comes with a single plate loading adapter and a choice of magazines for 20, 40 or 50 SBS-standard 96- and 384-well microplates, and barcode reading. All integration tools provided are easy to set up for each configuration.

AquaMax - Microplate Washer
The AquaMax Microplate Washer is a fully self-contained and system, configurable for both 96- and 384-well microplates. Use preconfigured wash, soak, and aspiration protocols or create your own multi-step protocol using the simple touchscreen interface. For biochemical assays, the washer removes unbound material and unreacted reagents. For cell-based assays, the washer has the option for 96- or 384-well cell wash heads with angled pins to allow extremely gentle washing of weakly adherent cell types.

ImageXpress - Micro Confocal High Content Imaging System
The ImageXpress Confocal system is a high-content solution that can switch between widefield and confocal imaging of fixed and live cells. It can capture high quality images of whole organisms, thick tissues, 2D and 3D models, and cellular or intracellular events. The spinning disc confocal and sCMOS camera enable imaging of fast and rare events like cardiac cell beating and stem cell differentiation. With the MetaXpress software, the system enables many confocal imaging applications from 3D assay development to screening.
