Our expert staff, specialized equipment, and vast network of locations allow MER to continually meet the intense demands of industries all across North America.  We provide remediation, coastal and marine studies, and waste management & recycling services to clients through our strategically located resource centers along the East Coast and in the Midwest of the U.S. MER has built a national reputation in the area of spill preparedness and response and are contracted to support national clients, government agencies, and three major regional spill cooperatives.

Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, MER crews have been called upon to provide COVID-19 decontamination services to our clients, demonstrating our experience and expertise in responding to emergencies. We have performed both proactive facility cleaning and reactive disinfection services, as well as developed custom training programs for business to engage their workforce in cleaning and sanitization of their facilities and vessels in line with regulatory guidelines. We have adapted our service offerings to include expanded services, such as conducting temperature checks for personnel reporting for work at our clients’ maritime and power generation sites.

From 10 locations along the Eastern Seaboard of the United States, MER provides 24-hour emergency response service to unplanned releases of oil, hazardous materials and infectious agents.  Our capabilities include the ability to respond to a wide variety of incidents, including but not limited to releases involving highway transportation, inland facilities, railway and port facilities.

The High-Rail allows this specialized piece of equipment to access areas both in the rail yard and along the Right of Way, facilitating both planned and emergency clean-up activities. MER`s employees and equipment operators are all FRA-trained to work along the Right of Way (ROW) for various railroads.
