The SMZ-160 is a professional-quality stereo microscope for industrial and educational settings. The large zoom ratio of 6:1 and a standard working distance of 100mm provide the flexibility to support a large number of potential applications while the addition of an auxiliary lens or substitute eyepieces extend the magnification up to a maximum of 180X. Additional contrast methods such as polarization microscopy and darkfield microscopy are easily performed through the addition of optional accessories.

A stereo microscope head based on a Greenough optical system. The parfocal 6:1 zoom optics is meant for OEM purposes or the integration in experimental setups. The binocular head with 45° inclination is adjustable in a range of 50-75mm Interpupillary distance. The Widefield eyepieces WF10X/20mm provide a quick sample overview. A working distance of 110mm gives freedom for manipulation work in a standard magnification range of 7.5X-45X.
