MRP Systems Limited applications

Following the successful testing of the MRP Modular System as water barriers in ballistic conditions by the UK Ministry of Defence and the US Defence Department it has been employed at a number of military installations. For example, the Royal Navy is using them in torpedo loading operations to provide secure segregation of munitions and assets. The RAF has installed them in Kandahar, Afghanistan to separate and protect armed under wing munitions on aircraft and likewise, the USAF for identical use on their aircraft at Bagram Air Base. In the field of deployment the MRP Barrier provides structures that are protective of critical systems.

The MRP Barrier System has been successfully deployed in a number of security applications, including border and vehicle checkpoints. The portable shield system can be used in law enforcement agencies for public safety applications like: barriers to explosives, traffic diversions, and airports and car parks. The MRP Barrier System provides the highest protection in checkpoint scenarios or whenever ballistic or radiation shielding is needed. In comparison to other protective barrier systems the water filled blocks do not endanger personnel with shrapnel from the inner filling when hit by a blast. The MRP Barrier System can be easily deployed in any existing security environment. Shape and outline can be customized according to the client’s requirements.

MRP Systems has been receiving an increasing number of orders from Particle Physics Labs doing High Energy Physics Research and Dark Matter Laboratories who want to use the MRP Barrier System to shield out background radiation, in the search for neutrinos, Weakly Interacting Massive Particles (WIMP’s), Axions, Sterile Neutrinos etc. For example, we have recently supplied the UK’s main Dark Matter Laboratory, in Boulby, and a Research project based in Belgium that involves 50 European astro-physicists with MRP Shielding Systems, to aid them in their search for these elusive particles.
