LCD monitors and tv’s was for many years constructed with Mercury containing lamps as a light source. In order to regenerate material value it is imperative to be able single out the different fractions in as pure form as possible. So when dismantling monitors and televisions it is imperative that the Mercury containing light sources are singled out in order not to polute and put dismantling workers at risk as well as maintaining value of other components. This means that specialized equipment to ensure that valuable components are made available for reuse is required.

When handling lamp waste there is more and more focus on material recycling as an increasing amount of technology is used in lamps today.

Cleanest and most environmentally friendly way to recover Mercury from any substrate is by heat. In MRT distillers Mercury is extracted in a totally closed process ensuring safest and cleanest result, with lowest level of emission and highest level of Mercury cleanliness.

The brand new version of our flat panel processor, the FPP 80/100, is up to 65 % faster than previous versions and with the ability to serial connect more FPPs to the same feeding line. The new feature allowing serial connection of units adds more flexibility and enables extremely high production capacity.

The first version of the FPP 60 flat panel processor was launched many years ago and is a well-proven versatile machine to disassemble a large range of LCD panels. The processor allows for secure extraction of the fluorescent lamps and separation into the different fractions. The processor can be fed manually or mechanically via conveyor belts. The FPP 60 cutters automatically make 2 cuts at the perimeter of the panel, allowing for clean and safe separation. The processor can be fed with panels up to 1600 mm x 1200 mm and 60 kg.

MRT primary focus has always been to prevent Mercury from entering into the environment when recycling Mercury containing products/substances. Still maintaining the highest level of safety the next generation of MRT lamp processors focusses on generating even more value through better and more recyclable fractions. In the new LP HVF series the e-base and end cap fractions are further processed and refined in order to sort out valuable material. As an added bonus an option is to adapt the Lamp Processor to also treat LED lamps.

The MRT Lamp Processor is designed for processing Fluorescent Lamps and tubes of different shapes and types. The machine crushes and separates the material into a glass fraction, fluorescent powder, e-base/socket/end-cap fraction. The machine is equipped with two manual feeding stations, one manual 140 L wheelie-bin turning device for CFLs and pre crushed lamps as well as one manual horizontal feeding table for TLs, this to optimize the output qualities. All material fractions are discharged into 200 L steel drums, except for glass which is discharged in a 1 m3 big-bag.

The BPD is designed for processing all kinds of lamp waste, electrical devices, mercury button cell batteries, thermometers in addition to heavy mercury contaminated wastes with a higher content of organic substances such as mercury zinc batteries, dental amalgam, medical wastes, sludge and wastes from the military and chemical industry. The process is fully automatic which makes it extremely safe, and removes the risk of human error. All essential functional parameters such as pressure, temperature and process time are adjusted to conform to the waste treated. This enables optimum efficiency.

The CPD distilling process is just as efficient, safe and fully automatic as the BPD process. The CPD is designed for 24/7 operation and is particularly suitable when having large volumes of the same material to process.

The Dismantling Table is a ventilated work station adapted for dismantling flat panels, either as a stand-alone unit, or in combination with an FPP60 Flat Panel Processor. The DMT is designed with open sides for the operator to easily be able to rotate a screen at the work surface, and for safe dismantling of fluorescent lamps in LCD screens.
