Shinkai offers a wide range of cleanable all-metal powder filter cartridges for filtration in critical applications. Our filter cartridges perform in liquid and gas applications under the harshest conditions of temperature, pressures and corrosion. Sinter metal filter cartridge (XKP-IS) is manufactured by metal powder without adding adhesive. Formed under isostatic cool pressing and sintered with high temperature vacuum. The size and distribution of the pores can be controlled by the metal powder.

Shinkai has system for flow characteristics in bulk powders, thus preventing bridging, rat holing and sagging, as well as the formation of ‘dead- spaces’ which can lead to product aging. The systems gently agitate powders, dramatically reducing particle friction, which in turn results in an even discharge from vessels and thus improvement of the product.

In order to solve the problem of catalyst leakage in chemical industry, the catalyst filtration system designed by Shinkai with using the sinter porous metal filter to handle extreme environment and intermittent production, which has perfectly solved the liquid-solid separation problem and create significant value for customers. In fine chemical production, hydrogenation reaction definitely requires precious metal catalyst. After the reaction is completed, the catalyst always goes into the reaction solution. Sintered Metal Filter can be used to separate product and catalyst.

The particular approach is that gas is directly injected in liquid through a porous Shinkai filter. Using the velocity and turbulence of the flowing liquid, this configuration is the most efficient diffuser systems since it results in fine bubbles, for superior performance.

There are two types of blowback cleaning methods for hot gas filters – the pressurized blowback, and the online venturi pulse blowback. With the pressurized blowback, it is necessary to isolate the filter from filtration process. With the venturi pulse blowback, the filter can remain on forward flow with no interruption of service. In industrial production, fuel gas shall be purified before discharge into atmosphere or useful solid particles should be separated form exhaust gas along with people more and more request for environment. In order to separate solid particle from gas, Shinkai developed pressurized blowback filtration system for high corrosion, high temperature and high contaminant concentration situation.
