Nano-Mag - Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy
Hastelloy C-22, also known as Alloy C-22, is a robust nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy renowned for its superior resistance to various forms of corrosion compared to other alloys in its class. It exhibits excellent resilience against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, which makes it particularly suitable for handling oxidizing aqueous solutions like acids containing oxidizing components, wet chlorine, and mixtures with nitric acid or chlorine ions. Its dual resistance to both reducing and oxidizing environments enables its application in multipurpose plants, managing frequent 'upset' conditions. Hastelloy C-22 also withstands grain boundary precipitate formation in weld heat affected zones, promoting its suitability for as-welded chemical process applications. It is approved for construction under ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for service up to 1250°F.
