Gold Enhancement with GoldEnhance

GoldEnhance - Model EM Plus - Deposit Metallic Gold

Deposit metallic gold to enlarge ultrasmall gold nanoparticles for EM - Use it with Nanogold®! Slow enhancement for an easy control of particle size. Great for SEM: Gold gives a much better backscatter signal than silver. Low background - No autonucleation for 40 minutes. Neutral pH for best ultrastructural preservation. Permanent staining: does not fade. Resistant to osmium tetroxide etching: may safely be used before osmium tetroxide staining with no need for gold toning or other protective treatments. Gold is stable in the oxidizing agent OsO4; silver would dissolve. Compatible with physiological buffers and other halide solutions --these would precipitate silver. Can be used for specimens on metal surfaces (e.g. cell culture substrates). Low viscosity. Light insensitive. Mix-and-use.

Model EM - Gold Enhancer

Our original gold enhancer for EM. High density of enlarged particles for clear imaging. Resistant to osmium tetroxide etching: may safely be used before osmium tetroxide staining with no need for gold toning or other protective treatments (silver is dissolved by the oxidizing agent OsO4; gold is stable). for SEM, gold gives a much better backscatter signal than silver.

Ni-NTA-Nanogold

Model 10 nm Ni-NTA-Nanogold - Optimum Size for Direct Em Viualization

Our new 10 nm Ni-NTA-Nanogold® brings optimum EM visualization without silver or gold enhancement, while preserving the high resolution of the original 1.8 nm and 5 nm probes. The entire probe is similar in size to an unlabeled IgG molecule, but the larger gold particles may be clearly visualized by standard TEM without silver or gold enhancement, even in wider views such as thick sections and whole cells. Blot sensitivity will be even higher that with the smaller sizes due to the larger gold.

Model 5 nm Ni-NTA-Nanogold - Go Straight To Em- No Silver or Gold Enhancement

5 nm Ni-NTA-Nanogold® provides new features, improved performance, and extends NTA-Ni(II) targeting technology to larger gold. This probe has the same high resolution as the 1.8 nm Ni-NTA-Nanogold®. The entire probe is still smaller than an IgG molecule, but the larger gold particles may be clearly visualized by standard TEM without silver or gold enhancement, even in wider views such as thick sections and whole cells. Blot sensitivity will also be higher due to the larger gold.
