Water Treatment Solutions

Napier-Reid - Gravity Filtration Systems

Gravity filters are commonly used in applications where liquid-solids separation is required in a variety of different applications for finish water treatment. Gravity filters can incorporate various types of media such as silica sand, anthracite coal, greensand, and granular activated carbon (GAC) to meet each plant’s water treatment needs. In addition, gravity filters allow for easy inspection during operation and typically have a smaller profile.

Napier-Reid - Package Water Treatment Plants

Multi-Stage protection for difficult-to-treat surface water, groundwater, industrial process water, and tertiary wastewater.

Napier-Reid - Ion Exchange Systems

Effective technology for water softening, nitrate removal, and demineralization. An ion exchange system consists of a tank containing small beads of synthetic resin. The beads are treated to selectively adsorb either cations(positive) or anions(negative) and exchange certain ions based on their relative activity compared to the resin. This process of ion exchange will continue until all available exchange sites are filled,at which point the resin is exhausted and must be regenerated by suitable chemicals.

Napier-Reid - Membrane Filtration Systems

Mainstream technology for removing contaminants from water sources. Growing global demand for clean water and increasing environmental concerns make membrane filtration the technology of choice for industries seeking to reuse their wastewater and reduce their water footprint. Knowing which membrane system solution is best for your water treatment challenge can help you increase plant efficiency, while reducing operating and chemical costs, and complying with increasingly stringent discharge regulations. Membrane filtration also offers solutions for large‐scale municipal applications that produce potable water from a variety of source waters.

Difloat - Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF)

Effective industrial and municipal wastewater treatment, clarification, and thickening technology. Napier-Reid’s DIFLOAT™ DAF systems are used for the removal of suspended solids (TSS), oils, fats and greases (OFG), algae and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) from wastewater and other industrial process streams. DIFLOAT™ systems are frequently used to provide wastewater pretreatment, product recovery and thickening of biological solids in industries ranging from food processing, to pulp and paper, to petrochemicals.

Wastewater Treatment Solutions

Bio-Batch - Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR)

High-Performance SBR technology for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment. BIO-BATCH SBR is a process developed by Napier-Reid in which continuous inflow and treatment is accommodated through alternating react, settle and decant sequences in SBR trains. Each train, through a typically operating cycle of three to five hours, provides all of the processes of activated sludge treatment in one basin.

Napier-Reid - Sludge Heat Exchanger

Time tested and trusted for the critical application of heating or cooling digester sludge. Napier-Reid has emerged as a leading manufacturer of sludge heat exchangers for municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants.

Bio-Rotor - Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC)

The most versatile and effective wastewater treatment solution with low maintenance cost and energy usage. Bio-Rotor is an extremely efficient secondary biological wastewater treatment system. It utilizes aerobic fixed film technology to reduce organic matter (BOD5), total suspended solids (TSS), ammonia and phosphorous from domestic and industrial wastewater, achieving a high quality final effluent that is safe for discharge.

Napier-Reid- - Clarifiers

Custom engineered to provide effective water and wastewater sedimentation. Napier-Reid’s clarifiers provide a size and type to fit any plant requirement. The application-oriented design assures an economical performance for municipal or industrial water and wastewater treatment. Sedimentation tanks or conventional gravity clarifiers are used in water and wastewater treatment as a physical unit operation through gravity for solid-liquid separation of readily settleable solids. The functions can be further enhanced using a solid contact clarifier which combines mixing, flocculation, and clarification in a single tank.

Napier-Reid - Extended Aeration Systems

Biological treatment process with high quality effluent, low maintenance, and low operations requirements. Extended Aeration plants provide a low cost, odor and nuisance-free Sewage Treatment Plant that produces a high degree of treatment. Extended aeration treatment plants are used worldwide to provide simple and effective wastewater treatment.
