When collecting a sample from a horizontal flowing stream, such as a sewer, the Nasco Swing Sampler is specially designed for this application. The end of the sampler swings, allowing collection from different angles, including 90°. The 6-ft. (1.83 m) adjustable fiberglass pole extends to 12 ft. (3.66 m) providing a long length for any sampling situation. Unit comes with a 960 ml polyethylene bottle and the cover has a vinyl liner for leak-proof protection. The bottle is attached to a polyurethane holder and is held in place with a plastic snapper ring that has an adjustable locking device. Other types of bottles may be used but a different type of fastener may be required to hold the bottle in place. One-year warranty.

Specially designed to hold any size bag, the holder uses a retainer ring to secure the bag firmly in place. Even in a fast flowing stream, the bag will not come loose. The adjustable fiberglass pole extends from 6 to 12 ft. (1.82 to 3.66 m), has a swinging end, and comes with three sizes of retainer rings to hold the bag.

An efficient and inexpensive way to sample water from any desired depth. The single-line trigger mechanism uses one line to both raise and lower the sampler as well as trigger the device to seal the collection chamber; you won’t have to worry about the problems of tangled lines. The efficient flow-through design of the sampler provides an ample 1.5 liter volume of water from which temperature and dissolved oxygen content can be determined. This device is invaluable for monitoring water quality of lakes and determining how oxygen content varies with depth. Overall dimensions of the water sampler are 9 cm in diameter and 46 cm long.

For hot fill samples with a temperature up to 215° F (102° C), the Whirl-Pak high temperature bag is specially made for this application. The FDA approved film is a co-extrusion of low density polyethylene and nylon that will hold liquids, solids, sauces, gravies, and other samples having a high temperature. The 18 oz. (532 ml) bag is self standing and does not need a rack or special holder to keep it upright, making sample collection safe and easy. The write-on strip provides an easy place to list sample information on the bag. (Do not put bag in boiling water.)

Capacity is measured in fluid ounces when the bag is closed and tab is folded over three times. Volume and dimensions are approximate; bags should not be used at temperatures above 180° F (82° C). Bags can be frozen to any temperature, even liquid nitrogen - careful handling required after freezing. All bags are sterilized after manufacturing.
