National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA) training
NPTA Virtual Interactive Courses
NPTA technical team has developed the following courses, which will be held in a virtual learning environment. The NPTA is committed to supporting pest control professionals, by helping them progress in their Continuing Professional Development (CPD). These courses will be interactive sessions to allow participants to engage in discussions and ask questions. CPD points will be allocated at the end of each course. Please register your interest in each course below, and confirmed course dates and times will be sent to you directly.
NPTA Rodent Problem Solving Course
Rodents make up the vast majority of a pest control business’s day to day work, but when it goes wrong it can cost you both financially and in terms of your reputation. Often we get blinded by the way we have been taught, but this course is designed to make you question whether what you learned is always the correct way to approach a problem.
ATEO (Airgun Training And Education Organisation) Courses
The airgun course is £175 per head for a full day intensive. A certificate is issued at the end of the course, which is accepted by police, BASIS and BPCA CPD schemes. Cliverton Insurance classes ATEO trainees as low risk.
NPTA Course in “Risk Assessments & COSHH Assessments in Pest Control”
Risk Assessments are required in all working situations and pest control presents unique challenges as technicians have to work in a very wide variety of potentially hazardous sites and with products that could cause significant damage to people and the environment. The pest control technician therefore has to have an in-depth understanding of the Hazards and their associated Risks that they are likely to encounter and cause, and how to draw up the paperwork that is required by law. This course aims to equip the pest controller with the necessary understanding and skills.
