NWRI Independent Advisory Panels

NWRI`s Independent Advisory Panels help public agencies review challenging water management and policy issue, leading to informed decisions. NWRI specializes in facilitating expert panels on behalf of water and wastewater agencies, as well as local, county, and state government agencies. We have conducted over 20 panels in California, Arizona, and Washington on a number of areas, including water resources, water supply, water and wastewater planning, and recycled water. Our panels are used by agencies when a project or regulatory requirement involves challenging issues that would benefit from having a third-party scientific and technical review by leading experts. The ultimate goal of these panels is to help decision makers make appropriate project decisions and develop good public policy.

NWRI Conferences and Workshops Services

NWRI is seeking partnerships to hold conferences and workshops on topics in water, wastewater, and water resources. Our events are collaborative, cost-effective, well organized, high quality, and reputable. We manage these events in partnership with local, national, and international organizations, with the goal of providing useful information and practical training to members of the water community.

Program Administration Services

Purpose: NWRI`s Program Administration services provide industry partners with the resources needed to run effective programs addressing specific needs within the water and wastewater communities. In effect, NWRI manages these programs on a contractual basis on behalf of other organizations.

NGT Workshops

NWRI pioneered the application of the Nominal Group Technique (NGT) as a process for identifying, prioritizing, and developing approaches that address critical water issues. The purpose of the NGT is to allow a group of experts to make decisions that cannot be made by one person alone. At present, NWRI has held over 25 NGT workshops. Each 3-day workshop is facilitated by NWRI and underwritten by another organization(s). NWRI provides resources and assistance in holding NGT workshops. Services include management, event planning, print-outs and/or publication development, registration, and event staffing.
