Neutralac products

Neutralac® Q (quicklime, CaO) is a solid reagent resulting from the calcination of limestone in a kiln at 900°C or higher. Neutralc® Q can be used directly as a ready to use powder or can be slaked and diluted into a milk of lime in a specific application. In wastewater treatment, quicklime is used to adjust and maintain pH values, neutralize acidic effluents, precipitate heavy metals, sulphates, phosphates and other ions as well as help coagulate/flocculate organics. In sludge and solid waste treatment, quicklime is used to stabilize and hygienize, segregate heavy metals and other ions, improve dry matter and structure as well as add agronomic value.

Neutralac® Q SR is a special quicklime developed by Lhoist which allows for a delayed increase in the temperature (exothermic reaction between lime and water) when mixed with the liquid or solid effluent. Moreover, it allows for a rapid increase in pH when combined with the effluent. It is a ready-to-use white powder effective directly in its dry form or combined with water (milk of lime). Neutralac® Q SR is a high performing reagent developed to neutralize acidic effluents, stabilize organic or mineral sludges and solid wastes as well as isolate chemical substances present in contaminated soils. It is particularly effective for sludge treatment to improve dry matter and sludge handling properties.

Neutralac® H (hydrated lime, Ca(OH)2) is a solid reagent resulting from the hydration of quicklime. Neutralac H can be used directly as a ready-to-use powder or can be diluted into a homogeneous milk of lime for specific application. In wastewater treatment, hydrated lime is used to adjust and maintain pH values, neutralize acidic effluents, precipitate heavy metals, sulphates, phosphates and other ions as well as help coagulate/flocculate organics. In sludge and solid waste treatment, hydrated lime is used to stabilize, segregate heavy metals and other ions, improve dry matter and structure as well as add agronomic value.

(milk of lime, Ca(OH)2 in suspension) is a liquid reagent resulting from the extinction of quicklime (CaO) or the dilution of hydrated lime ( Ca(OH)2) in water . Neutralac SL can be used directly as a ready-to-use suspension or can be diluted further for a specific application. In wastewater treatment, milk of lime is used to adjust and maintain pH values, neutralize acidic effluents, precipitate heavy metals, sulphates, phosphates and other ions as well as help coagulate/flocculate organics. In sludge and solid waste treatment, milk of lime is used to stabilize, segregate heavy metals and other ions, improve dry matter and structure as well as add agronomic value.

Neutralac® SLS45 is a high strength liquid lime, 45% solids designed for treating acidic effluents of all types.
