Photooxidation Technology for Exhaust Air and Wastewater Treatment

Neutralox - Odour Control System

The control of odor emissions has become a major consideration in the design and operation of wastewater conveyance, treatment and residuals processing facilities. As public concern is generally increasing, effective odor control has become an essential part of successful wastewater and biosolids treatment processes.

Neutralox - Photoionisation Odor Control System

NEUTRALOX Photoionisation is a method of effective and reliable elimination of odours. Photoionisation is mostly used for treatment of odours released by waste, wastewater (sewage) and wastewater sludge. The technology has been used successfully in the market for more than 15 years.

Neutralox - Corona Discharge Odor Control Units

Applied inside of rooms and buildings, NEUTRALOX® Corona Discharge units purify the indoor air and hence improve working conditions. Based on air-recirculation, the process minimizes the demand for fresh air and consequently reduces heating (or cooling) costs significantly. Air ionisation is a natural process, which has deodorized and sterilized the atmosphere since the beginning of time. On a smaller technical scale, this happens through application of electrodes, which are separated by a dielectric barrier (Corona Discharge). Around the electrodes positively and negatively charged ions are formed. The generated ions have higher additive properties and oxidation capabilities than neutral substances.

Neutralox - Additive Air Odour Reduction Technology

The NEUTRALOX Additive Air technology represents a variation of the NEUTRALOX Corona Discharge technology. This variation is especially suitable for applications with high air-flow rates and rather low concentrated odours. The contaminated air is not ionized directly in this case. Rather, ions are generated from clean ambient air, which is then mixed (added) into the contaminated air stream.
A downstream reactor allows for sufficient reaction between pollutants and oxidants. The result is considerable odour reduction and the treated clean gas may be released into the atmosphere. The NEUTRALOX Additive Air technology is often used for odour control of large process buildings and storage halls.

Neutralox - Air Ventilation UV Disinfection Systems

This approach helps reducing the demand for fresh (ambient) air and in turn reduces energy consumption. Furthermore, the disinfection capabilities of NEUTRALOX Corona Discharge provide for a healthier environment. NEUTRALOX UV-technology is used for disinfection of supply air in ventilation systems. The UV- wave length of 254 nm provides the highest possible disinfection rates. NEUTRALOX UV disinfection units may be applied in existing ducting systems, or as stand-alone recirculation units. Proper design of exposure time and irradiation intensity provides high bacteria killing rates.
