NIRAS is one of the largest consultants within the field of soil and groundwater contamination in Scandinavia. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Services
EIAs lay the foundations for approval by authorities and include assessments of a project’s consequences to natural resources, the environment and its inhabitants. Both national and international law require environmental impact assessments (EIA) prior to the commencement of a building or restructuring project. NIRAS has extensive expertise in carrying out EIAs for public and private customers in Denmark and abroad. We use our broad expertise within the environmental and engineering sciences to assist customers achieve the most accurate environmental assessments. Our services cover the entire EIA process, including preparation of the EIA report and contact with authorities.
Environmental Due Diligence Services
EDD can include both the external and working environment, ful-filment of legal requirements etc. Production facilities, buildings and historical production development are reviewed to document environmental and risk liability issues. Immediate and necessary future measures and their associated costs are assessed.

Sustainable Planning Services
Sustainability and climate issues are often two versions of the same story. At NIRAS, sustainability has always been a natural part of our planning. Therefore, handling of climate issue in planning has become a natural further development of our objectives for planning. Together with other units at NIRAS, NIRAS Planning has been involved in a number of concrete development projects on sustainability and climate adaptation in recent years, which has given NIRAS Planning considerable knowledge and experience within sustainable planning.
