Manual melt filters are the least expensive and most suitable option for processes that require infrequent changes. The BKG NorCon EM/EMR is our most basic discontinuous melt filter suitable for extrusion and recycling processes.

The BKG NorCon EH is our most technically advanced slide plate type melt filter design and is suitable for extrusion and recycling applications. Contamination of the melt stream by metal, wood, paper or internally generated black specks yields products that are unacceptable in appearance and/or performance. The BKG NorCon EH melt filter comes with various options like high-temperature seals for temperatures between 260-343°C (500-650°F), adapters, or corrosion-resistant flow bores. 

The BKG NorCon D-SWE is an easy-to-clean and maintain melt filter, suitable for extrusion, batch, masterbatch, and compounding processes. It is also used for protection filtration purposes installed directly behind the extruder preventing damage to the downstream equipment. 

The BKG NorCon LD-SWE is an easy-to-clean and -maintain melt filter, suitable for extrusion, batch, masterbatch, compounding, and polymerization processes. It is also used for protection filtration purposes installed directly behind the extruder preventing damage to the downstream equipment. The BKG NorCon LD-SWE has oval-shaped screen cavities providing a large filtration area.
