The Fast Current Boom System from NorLense is a containerized one-man-operated system with single point inflation of the boom part. The deployment and the retrieval of the system are operated by only one man.

NorLense offshore booms are made to meet rough weather conditions on open sea. Our oil booms are preferred by leading players within the offshore preparedness’ market and constitutes as a part of the NOFO standard on Norwegian shelf.

The original single point inflated oil boom with automatic inflation for coastal use, NO-450-S and NO-600-S.

NorLense delivers two types of harbour oil booms, NO-250-F and NO-350-F. These types of booms are manufactured with a freeboard containing expanded polystyrene. Solid flotation means no need for air filling during deployment. Solid flotation booms are easy to handle and store. The solid flotation booms are delivered in 25 m long sections. All our harbour booms have quick connectors so they can easily be connected to the required length depending on the situation. The booms can be delivered in bags, cages or containers.

A beach- and onshore cleaning operation requires a lot of different equipment. NorLense has extensive experience in developing and manufacturing equipment for this purpose. Through participation in several oil spill operations we have built unique skills in terms of developing effective beach cleaning equipment.

Absorbents in combination with harbour booms can be an effective solution for containing smaller oil spills.

Sea lice are a biological challenge – Lice skirts as a physical barrier. Sea lice are a biological challenge in the aquaculture sector which inflicts losses of enormous value in food waste and revenue. Sea lice affects fish welfare negatively. A reduction in lice results in less treatment of infected fish, and better conditions for the fish welfare. The salmon lice thrive in the upper part of the water. Lice skirts are therefore a good preventive investment as a physical barrier to keep the lice away from the salmon. A small investment to contribute to lower mortality and better short term and long term finances.

Sea lice are a growing challenge to the aquaculture industry. It affects the welfare of the fish’s health. It’s no doubt that sea lice causes unhealthy fish, and inflicts upon the industry and environment enormous amounts of food waste and loss in margins.
