The clean water program regulates discharges of pollutants into the water, including wastewater from industry and water quality of surface water.

The Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) was passed by Congress more than 30 years ago to regulate the public drinking water supply. SDWA authorizes the EPA to set national standards for drinking water to protect us against both naturally-occurring and man-made contaminants that may be found in drinking water. The EPA, along with states work together to make sure that these standards are met.

Almost everything we do leaves behind waste. Households, industry and manufacturing processes create solid waste. The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) regulates recycling, the disposal of waste, and clean up of waste, which may have spilled, leaked, or disposed of improperly.

NTS defines Site Assessment as the performance of Phase I and Phase II site Assessments, to a point where a release is identified, or the understanding of the environmental conditions of the property is sufficient and no release has been identified. Once a release has been identified, the work becomes Site Investigation and the objectives of the client include satisfying regulatory requirements associated with the release. From a process point of view, Assessment work focuses on protection from liability, exposure or an understanding of the effect attached liability may have on the asset value of the property. Defensibility of the work rests on proving appropriate inquiry sufficient for due diligence liability protections. In most cases assessment work is performed in support of property transfer and/or property redevelopment.

From conceptual planning through construction our engineers are available to answer question and guide your project.

NTS, Inc. has two drilling rigs that utilize direct push technology and hollow stem auger capabilities for subsurface site investigations. Direct push subsurface investigations are accomplished using our Geoprobe 5400 mounted on a Ford F-350 and our track mounted Geoprobe 6620D.
