Novelis RC5754 (EN AW-5754) belongs to the group of the strain hardening AlMgMn alloys. The strength level is controlled by cold forming and final annealing. For use in automotive bodies a soft, very formable condition is desirable. This is achieved by a final gauge heat treatment. In contrast to EN AW-5182 material RC5754 has a lower level of strength and shows no stress corrosion cracking (SCC) sensitivity. RC-5754 belongs to EN AW-5754 and is available within closed loop recycling agreements.
