Since the issue of the Laws regulating asbestos removal operations (Decreto Legislativo n° 277 dated 15/08/91), Nuova Saimar has been carryng out such operations in full compliance with such the rules, and has received the full approval of controlling Authorities and full satisfaction from Clients.

Legislative Decree 22, which became effective on 5th February 1997, followed by Ministerial Decree 471 on 25th October 1999, regulated the development of environmental activity, defining the “criteria, procedures and methods for containment, remediation and environmental recovery of polluted areas”. They also highlighted the importance of the environment in terms of ecological protection, the reclamation of abandoned areas and sustainable economic development.

Since day one of the “Saimar” brand, we have performed the cleaning of oil storage tanks with traditional methods. Nowadays this happens only when innovative and no-man entry technology cannot be used due to external conditions or tank features. In these cases, our personnel is trained to work in high-risk conditions and to deal with toxic, flammable, and explosive substances. In our experience, we have been worked in the main refineries and tank farms both in Italy and abroad, cleaned both buried and external tanks of small, medium, and big sizes (even more than 100.000 m3 of capacity), with floating or cone roof type.

Very often our Clients have to face problems such as how to requalify their environment, therefore Nuova Saimar has recently extended its activities to the branch of demolitions.

Chemical removal of scales on metallic surfaces and equipment. After operation design and chemical and physical analysis of the material to be cleaned, the cleaning medium and the operating conditions are selected then the chemical cleaning of piping and equipment is performed. The lines, pumps, and drums are suitable to handle the aggressive chemical media selected for our chemical cleaning services. The process is controlled by periodically tested instruments according to our quality procedure.
