The icListen RB9 is our most popular model with many applications in the field. It has a 900 m depth rating and is equipped with a Teledyne Reson sensor. The RB9 is a sophisticated smart hydrophone that is ultra-low noise with a wide dynamic range providing superior signal quality and stability over many years.   

Ocean Sonics offers a Sync GPS Master which allows the icListen to be synchronized by receiving a GPS pulse per second (PPS). The system is very low power, small and can be mounted on a mast above water or on shore. Typical PPS can synchronize the seconds to a resolution of nanoseconds. However, the Sync GPS modulates the trailing edge of the PPS signal to encode the date & time as well. This guarantees that all instruments are fully synchronized to GPS time after two minutes. Comes with 20m cable.

Collecting ocean sound data has never been easier with the Coastal Acoustic Drifting Buoy. Designed with the user in mind, the buoy weighs in at 23KG and measures 1 meter in length and 0.5 meters in width and is easily deployed by a singular user without the use of a crane or any additional equipment. Features include Wi-Fi for real-time set-up, status and spectral display, remote WIFI access (up to 100m), GPS time sync, on/off switch for icListens and buoy, and hydrophone synchronization within one microsecond.

The Host Controller Interface allows you to control your smart hydrophone array quickly and easily from an on-land link. The Host controller adds data processing and storage and can accommodate GPS sync, a radio link or long-range wifi link. Supplies synchronization and power, manage and control your hydrophones directly through your Host Controller. Easily add and manage removable storage. When connected to GPS sync, the Host Controller Interface can act as a PTP2, IEEE-1588. Simplify your array deployment and data acquisition with the Host Controller.

The Tow Fish is a towed underwater depressor made by Dartmouth Ocean Technology. The Tow Fish allows users tow one or many hydrophones at a constant depth behind a vessel at a constant depth.  The tip of the Tow Fish is weighted so it shields the hydrophone sensor, reducing flow noise.
