Structural Health Monitoring Services
The comparatively new idea of structural health condition monitoring involves instrumenting structures for the purpose of dynamically monitoring their health and performance over the long-term. This typically involves performing periodic monitoring of the physical stresses, strains, vibrations, and/or temperatures that the structure experiences on a periodic and threshold exceeded alarm basis. The data may be recorded on-site and downloaded via hard-wired or wireless modems periodically and upon demand. Olson Engineering’s combination of electrical, mechanical and civil engineering expertise allows us to design and build specialized, custom hardware and software solutions for clients in this increasingly important area.Rehabilitation, Repair & Forensic Engineering Services
Olson Engineering’s staff has broad expertise in structural, geotechnical, geophysical, materials, mining, pavement, electrical and mechanical engineering. This allows us to work closely with clients to develop safe and cost-effective approaches for repair and rehabilitation of structures and infrastructure. We have also served as forensic engineering consultants and expert witnesses in support of a client’s needs. As we diagnose many problems in our NDE Internal Condition Assessment projects, we bring our unique skills and experience into these projects and thereby enhance traditional engineering approaches.
