Traditional Lobe Pumps in AISI 316 stainless steel are assembled on a cast iron gear box which has a protective coating in epoxy paint finish or Nickel plated as option. The chamber separating the rotor case and gear box enables the fitting of balanced compact reversible mechanical seals, avoiding the contamination between the pumped fluid and the gearbox lubricant. The base of the gearbox is designed to make installation easier for connecting into horizontal and vertical pipelines. The OMAC Lobe Pump is modular in design allowing the main parts such as the rotors, seals and options, can be added or exchanged according to variations in the requirements of use.

The B115, B220, B330, B440, B490 Models can be supplied with enlarged rectangular suction inlets allowing highly viscous products such as semi-solid pastes or mixtures containing semi-solid pieces to be pumped. In these cases the pump is generally positioned with the port on a vertical axis in order to allow the entry of the product under gravity directly beneath the hopper.

Developed from the successful existing range of OMAC “B” series pumps, the series “BB-BA” pumps retain the principles of performance, solidity and reliability and incorporate a new design which enables easier cleaning of the wetted parts. BB series pumps are designed according to 3A Sanitary Standard (new standard Number 02-11). All wetted parts are in stainless steel 1.4404 and the pump body is from lost wax casting.

All the options of the B series are also available for the BB / BA series. The standard cast iron gearbox, with pre-assembled double tapered roller bearings and epoxy paint, can optionally be supplied with a nickel-plating treatment or, for pumps up to model BB / BA390, a stainless steel gearbox is also available.

The BE SERIES volumetric lobe pump derives from the established B series, sharing many features. The pump body is in AISI 316 L stainless steel mounted on a cast iron bearing housing protected by epoxy paint. A clear separation compartment between pump body and support prevents any contamination between pumped fluid and lubricant. The BE series pumps are simple and robust and are characterised by their monoblock design. The drive unit, thanks to the hallow shaft and to the rear cover provided with an IEC flange, is directly fixed to the pump by creating a unique compact and light body, without external rotating shafts and easy to clean.

BE lobe pumps can be supplied with bare shaft or complete with motor drive to form a complete pump unit ready for use. Trolleys and such accessories as feet for vertical connections, adjustable feet, and stainless steel shrouds covering the motors can also be supplied as to build pumping sets which exactly satisfy customer’s requirements. Power transmission can be variable speed via mechanical, hydraulic or inverter integrated into the motor; alternatively can be fixed speed via reduction geared motor. For controlling the pumps the options are various and these include on off reversing switch, IP65 inverter, electric panel with IP21 inverter for remote control signal.

Developed from the successful existing range of OMAC “B” series pumps, the new series “BF” pumps retain the principles of performance, solidity and reliability and incorporate a new design which enables easier cleaning of the externals and AISI 304 gearbox. All product wetted parts are in AISI 316L with ferrite content of less than 3%. The cover is smooth with a new gasket and the rotors offer the option of either in built fixing nuts or external fixing without nuts for F series. The high quality pump body is press-forged and has integral non welded (Tri-clamp or DIN11864-3) connections.
