Omega Mag-Bind - Blood & Tissue DNA HDQ 96 Kit

The Mag-Bind Blood & Tissue DNA HDQ 96 Kit is designed for isolation of high-quality genomic DNA from blood samples, saliva, swabs, mouse tails, dried blood spots or cultured cells. Mag-Bind® Particles HDQ provides quick magnetic response time reducing overall processing time. This system combines the reversible nucleic acid-binding properties of Mag-Bind paramagnetic particles with Omega Bio-tek’s tissue and blood DNA isolation systems. Utilizing paramagnetic particles provides high-quality DNA that is suitable for direct use in most downstream applications such as Next Generation Sequencing, qPCR, PCR, and microarrays. The Mag-Bind Blood & Tissue DNA HDQ 96 Kit can be scaled up to process 1 mL whole blood samples.

RNA - DNA/RNA Isolation

E.Z.N.A. - DNA/RNA Isolation Kit

The E.Z.N.A.® DNA/RNA Isolation Kit is designed for the simultaneous isolation of both genomic DNA and total RNA from the same cells or tissues. The sample is first lysed and homogenized in a special denaturing buffer, spun to pellet RNA and undigested particles, and then the supernatant is applied to a HiBind® DNA spin column to bind DNA. The RNA pellet is dissolved and purified by a HiBind® RNA spin column. Since there is no need to divide the sample into two parts for separate purification procedures, the maximum yield of DNA and RNA can be purified from the entire sample. Simultaneously isolate DNA and RNA from same cells or tissues using spin column.

E-Z 96 - Plant RNA Kit

Based on the same principle of E.Z.N.A.® Plant RNA Kit, the E-Z 96™ Plant RNA kit is designed for isolation of plant RNA in a 96-well plate format. The E-Z 96™ Plant RNA Kit provides a convenient and rapid method for the isolation of total RNA from a variety of plant samples. The kit includes a homogenization plate to efficiently remove cell debris and simultaneously homogenize the lysate. In combination with the HiBind RNA plate, this kit permits purification of high-quality RNA from as much as 40 mg seed tissue or up to 100 mg plant tissue. The system is also efficient enough to allow isolation of total RNA from as little as 0.5 mg tissue. RNA - Mirna Isolation

E.Z.N.A. - Model Micro - RNA Kit

The E.Z.N.A. Micro RNA Kit combines the reversible binding properties of the HiBind® matrix, a new silica-based material, with the highly efficient lysis ability of RNA-Solv® to extract micro and large (>200 nt) RNA from a wide variety of starting materials. Micro and large RNA are separated to allow for quantification into downstream applications. The system uses RNA-Solv® to efficiently lyse cells and protect RNA from degradation. Following a chloroform separation step, RNA is applied to a HiBind® RNA column where large RNA binds. The flow-through is retained and applied to a HiBind Micro RNA column to bind small RNA.

The RNA-Lock Reagent is an innovative reagent which rapidly lyses cells and tissues to inactivate RNases at room temperature. Simply submerge the samples, such as cell cultures, animal tissues, and white blood cells into the RNA-Lock Reagent. The intact cellular RNA will be preserved even at elevated temperature. Samples can be stored in this reagent in excess of 12 months at -20°C.

Mag-Bind Viral RNA Xpress Kit follows a magnetic bead-based approach for the rapid and reliable isolation of viral RNA from nasopharyngeal (NP) swab specimens that are dry or in viral transport media (VTM). The extraction methodology is easily adaptable to various automated systems and can also be scaled up or down depending on the amount of starting sample amount used. The kit utilizes the proven Mag-Bind® technology that enables the purification of high-quality nucleic acids that are free of proteins, nucleases, and other impurities. The purified nucleic acids are ready for direct use in downstream applications such as qPCR, RT-qPCR, and more.

E.Z.N.A. - Gel Extraction Kit (V-spin)

The E.Z.N.A.® Gel Extraction kit uses the proprietary HiBind® spin-column technology to purify DNA fragments ranging from 100 bp to 10 kb from all grades of agarose gels with high recovery (> 90%). The kit uses a specialized binding buffer system that not only dissolves the gel slice and binds to the spin column but also includes a pH indicator for a visual representation of optimal pH for DNA binding. The bind step is followed by three rapid wash steps and DNA is eluted with deionized water or elution buffer. Purified DNA is ready for a variety of downstream applications such as ligations, PCR amplification, restriction enzyme digestion, cloning, and various labeling reactions. Recover and purify DNA fragments > 100bp from agarose gels in 15 minutes.
