Omnisens - Fiber Optic Distributed Sensing System for Power Cables
Power engineers are challenged to provide uninterrupted electricity supply at minimal financial and environmental cost, while fulfilling regulatory requirements, being Smart Grid compliant and cyber secure. How can Omnisens Cobra help in this challenge? Our complete technology solution is adapted to our client needs with the use of DTS (raman and brillouin), DSS or our latest DAS technology.
Omnisens - Advanced Pipeline Intrusion Detection and Ground Movement Monitoring Solution
Omnisens Lynx transforms a fiber optic cable into a continuous, real time monitoring system at minimal extra cost. This technique helps operators detect the earliest stages of threats to the pipeline, giving them time and information to enable an efficient response. An external fiber optic cable, often included during pipeline installation for communications, is used to detect leaks, ground movement and third party intrusion, helping avoid pipeline damage.

Omnisens - Structural Health and Geotech Monitoring
In both the built environment and the natural one, things move, change shape, crack, leak and suffer the ravages of time and weather. The process often starts before any signs are visible. Omnisens fiber optic distributed sensing systems, when used with an appropriate fiber optic sensing cable, provide accurate and complete information about actual infrastructure changes in real-time. They do this by monitoring strain and/or temperature evolution over time. To monitor strain on a structure the optical fiber sensors must be coupled to the structure. Since each structure has a unique set of challenges for the application of the optical fiber sensor, Omnisens provides the interrogator but not the sensor. In most other applications, Omnisens can advise and/or supply a suitable sensing cable.
