OnSight is an autonomous and teleoperated Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) with a Radiometric thermal imaging camera and an optical zoom camera that uses AI visual learning to detect, report, and observe issues and anomalies on Utility Solar Farms. At 1 mile per hour for up to 12 hours a day, the Robot can inspect up to 360 miles per month at extremely high resolution and detail with no technicians on site. The total capabilities lead to the lowest cost and highest quality data in the industry.

The OnSight Fire Detection System offered by The Owl is engineered to provide rapid and reliable alerts for fire, smoke, and unusual heat patterns. It is designed for quick installation with minimal disruption, making it practical for safeguarding solar assets. The system features four cameras totaling 64 megapixels, which together support a detection range of 500 meters. Algorithms enhanced by extensive image training allow for imagery analysis at full resolution, and detection validation occurs via cloud-based models. Connectivity is ensured through an integrated cellular backhaul for remote monitoring and instant notifications, supported by a 2.5-day battery life. The system includes a real-time monitoring dashboard and text message alerts, and it utilizes a Jetson Orin Nano onboard computing unit offering 40 TOPS, 8GB RAM, and a 1.5 GHz CPU. This setup eliminates the need for constant visual monitoring, leveraging Edge AI for efficient, independent operation.
