The LAS-Vertex/ROC accessory is a highly specialized tool designed for precision lens alignment and measurement, integrated into Opto-Alignment's advanced Lens Alignment & Assembly Station (LAS). A pivotal component of this accessory is the high Numerical Aperture (NA) Vertex Measurement Objective (VMO) that, combined with the CalcuLens Vertex Measurement software, allows for meticulous measurement of lens parameters including center thickness (CT), air gap, vertex height, and radius of curvature (ROC) during assembly stages. It plays a crucial role by automating the detection of sharpest laser beam focus to achieve z-position measurements of lens vertices to within ±2.5 micrometers accuracy. The QuickPRO-CUBE by Opto-Alignment Technology, Inc. is a sophisticated optical metrology system designed for precise factory-floor quality assurance of optical components. It utilizes dual single-point, non-contact, nanometer-resolution chromatic confocal sensors integrated with high-speed X/Y/Z coordinated motion to provide 3D point cloud topography of both the front and back surfaces of lenses. The system can measure both rotationally symmetric and complex freeform optical shapes, with a maximum measurement diameter of 50mm, extendable to up to 75mm. The measurement process varies from 30 to 240 seconds per surface, dictated by lens diameter and density of 3D sampling. The system's compact design is built on a vibration-insensitive Invar frame, equipped with advanced features like magnetic linear motors for precise motion control and user-friendly software for data acquisition and analysis including CalcuSurf-3D™.
