The Optris Xi80 LT ETH smart thermal camera of the Xi series combines pyrometer functions with the broader capabilities of a thermal imager. The thermal camera operates in the long-wave infrared range (8–14 µm) and enables non-contact surface temperature measurement from –20 °C to 900 °C. With its 80 × 80 pixel detector and a distance-to-spot ratio of up to 190:1, the smart thermal camera delivers accurate results even from long distances. In contrast, single-spot pyrometers provide only limited data, while the Xi80 hot spot finder records complete thermal images and spatial distributions.
