The Osx™ 8 seismic explosives range is designed to provide the reliability and energy required to capture high-quality signals in geophysical exploration. We designed this range for harsh exploration environments, with high water-resistance for long sleep times. The cast explosives are available in a range of sizes and in both degradable and non-degradable formats.

340g (12oz)to908g (32 oz). Suitable for the medium and large diameter holes generally used in surface mining. Includes the Detlok™ device that retains the detonator in the detonator well. Available with single and dual detonator wells in some regions.
Optimised for high detonation pressure.

4D™ is an advanced bulk system that supports surface and underground blasting operations and can be tailored instantaneously to suit varying hole conditions for the desired blast outcomes. Enabled by Orica’s proprietary emulsion chemistry and smart technologies, operations using 4D™ can achieve accurate, automated and efficient energy control. Outcomes include improved orebody recovery, reduced overall explosive consumption and better fume, vibration and nitrate leaching control.
