Many products in the bulk solids industry are at risk of explosion. We offer silos with explosion protection for the storage and stockpiling of dangerous and flammable materials. We carry out the appropriate design and dimensioning of explosion-proof silos and containers based on the applicable standards, laws and regulations. The aims of explosion protection are to prevent the formation and ignition of a dangerous, explosive atmosphere and to limit the effects of an explosion to a harmless level.

Standard silos made of aluminum or stainless steel, which are not manufactured in the factory but on site due to their size, are also referred to as large silos. We produce and deliver large silos. Please feel free to contact us about this too.

Indoor silos are particularly suitable for installation in buildings. They are built with support brackets for installation on a steel substructure or with pipe feet. For the version with pipe feet, we require a concrete slab as a base that can absorb the loads of the inner silo. In this case, the anchoring takes place on the building floor. When dimensioning the silo, the heights and widths of the access routes and the usable hall height must be taken into account.

Chamber silos or multi-chamber silos are particularly suitable for a large variety of products, batch separation and small batches. Chamber silos and multi-chamber silos are ideal when there is a lack of space.

The demand for ever larger storage capacities led the company P+W Metallbau to assemble the silos on site in other countries such as. B. Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Greece etc. had to do. These so-called assembly silos now enable our company to cost-effectively build storage and mixing silos made of aluminum and stainless steel with qualified personnel in practically all relevant locations in the world. This is made possible by a modular assembly process made from prefabricated segments. To optimize this process, we have also invested in improved, computer-aided manufacturing technology in Meckenbeuren.
