Pacific Advanced Civil Engineering, Inc. (PACE) services
Stormwater Management
PACE - Flood Control Systems Engineering / Design Services
Flood Protection Feasibility Analysis: Feasibility analyses can be performed to screen a number of conceptual alternatives leading to the best solution meeting the project objectives. A “feasibility” evaluation addresses the (1) economic suitability, (2) constructability, (3) satisfying the primary project objectives, and (4) compatibility with future watershed projects.
Environmental Water
PACE - Water Infrastructure Service
PACE provides a unique hands-on background and insight into planning, consulting, design, and implementation of potable water solutions. As part of the planning process, PACE develops integrated water balances for sustainable water use and conservation including water recycling. Also included in the planning phases are selection of appropriate water sources, conveyance, and distribution. Treated water must be properly stored and transmitted to customers during average, peak, and fire demand periods, and PACE has engineered dozens of different types of water storage tanks, booster pump stations, and control systems to deliver water at a constant, ideal pressure. Finally, because of PACE’s extensive construction, operations, and controls experience, we are able to troubleshoot, startup, and train staff on the operation of PACE-engineered systems.
Recreational Water
PACE - Community Lakes Service
Community lakes bring the dream of lakeside entertainment to life. A recreational amenity that is universally appealing, a lake can also serve important environmental functions. Whether used for stormwater runoff management, irrigation or reclaimed water reservoir, lakes can serve many necessary land development needs, while adding visual stimulation and a means for community interaction. A lake is a beautiful, refreshing, fun amenity that is good for the community, the environment and your bottom line.
PACE - Environmental Water Laboratory
PACE - Technical Consultation and Assistance Service
We offer technical consultation for our clients to solve water quality challenges with respect to the operation, planning, and/or design of their new and existing water and wastewater facilities such as treatment plants, raw and finished water reservoirs, and collection and distribution systems.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
PACE - GIS Data Management Service
In order for our clients to achieve maximum Return on Investment (ROI) with GIS, a detailed database design must take place. Armed with detailed knowledge of GIS and Geodatabases, PACE GIS has the ability to generate the appropriate database for our client’s needs. The process involves understanding the client’s expectations of owning a GIS database including the functions it is to perform, preparing the database schema (organization), what information the data is to contain, flowcharts detailing spatial feature and table interactions. The next step is to collect, create, and transfer data into the appropriate layers of the database. A detailed quality assurance/quality check to insure proper development would follow. The last phase would include data delivery and education for the end users.
