Pacific Sensor HFRR test specimens meet all ASTM D6079 requirements. Our specimens are equivalent to those from PCS Instruments as determined in two ASTM Interlaboratory Studies. We offer single- and double-sided test specimens. Our unique double-sided specimens can be used to run two tests and are the best value in the industry, reducing the cost of testing by 25 percent. We are the only US-based manufacturer of HFRR test specimens and the only manufacturer to prove equivalency to PCS through an ASTM Interlaboratory Study. Corrosion coupons are commonly used in the water treatment and oil & gas industries to monitor internal corrosion inside closed systems. Coupons are used to monitor pipelines, heat exchangers, cooling towers, injection molds and many other applications. Coupons can be made in the form of flat strips, discs, and rods depending on the application. Coupons should be made from materials similar to those used in the system. The most common materials are carbon steel and copper, but we provide coupons made from more than 150 different materials, including API-grade pipe, Admiralty brass, nickel superalloys and a wide range of exotic materials. Many of these materials are only available as flat bar, round bar, plate, or pipe, so we have extensive machining capabilities to transform any raw material into a corrosion coupon.

Pacific Sensor pre-weighs and analyzes corrosion coupons in our ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory. We are proud to help our customers keep people and assets safe by monitoring and preventing corrosion related failures. Pacific Sensor is a trusted partner of the largest pipeline and water treatment companies in the world. Accuracy of pre and post-exposure coupon weights is critical to evaluating corrosion coupons. As a result Pacific Sensor only uses the highest quality analytical balances in our laboratory. Each balance is calibrated bi-annually and spot checked daily with class 1 calibration weights. Pacific Sensor also completes annual proficiency testing and continuously compares weight data with other labs. As an additional quality check, software is used to verify weights are within expected values based on specimen size and density.

Pacific Sensor manufactures corrosion coupon racks in accordance with ASTM D2688. Our standard coupon racks are in service throughout the world and are trusted by large and small water treatment companies alike. Standard coupon racks include an 8 GPM Dole valve for flow control and a ball valve for isolation. Standard coupon racks have 2 or 4 corrosion coupon stations and are supplied with the corresponding number of coupon holders. Coupon racks are available in Grey PVC, Clear PVC, Black Iron, and Stainless Steel.
