AirScreen - Waste Extraction Systems

The AirScreen is at the heart of many of Paramount waste extraction systems. The patented design separates the airflow from the conveyed waste which then drops into a waste compactor or baler. Paramount waste extraction AirScreens are extremely compact devices. A range of units is available to suit a variety of applications, either as part of a process plant or as an independent system.

Paramount - Chopper/Conveyor Fan

Paramount Chopper\Conveyor fans are heavy duty units which should not be confused with fans from other manufacturers. Specifically designed to cut and convey a variety of materials, they have been developed over the last 15 years to provide the end user with an efficient and long-lasting solution. At the core of every Paramount fan is the paddle-blade impeller. Whereas other manufacturers might use mild steel for this component, Paramount has chosen NaxtraM70. This is a wear-resistant speciality steel similar to that used in earth-mover buckets, which has been chosen for its abrasion resistant qualities and thus long life. The impeller is mounted on a large diameter shaft, specifically designed to handle the harsh environment that the impeller will encounter. This in turn sits in heavy duty "sealed for life" bearings, minimising maintenance time.

Paramount - Rotary Valve

The RotaryValve is a robust unit designed to deliver large quantities of waste into a baler or compactor feed hopper without transfering air pressure. Typically Paramount waste extraction AirScreen configurations use either a rotary valve or a system balance fan to ensure zero air pressure at the material outlet. A range of noise reduction options are available where plant is located in sensitive areas.

Paramount - Rotary Waste Separator

The latest Paramount Rotary Separator is a compact fusion of the traditional Airscreen and Rotary Valve. High performance rubber seals at the tips of an internal paddle assembly constantly scour a cylindrical heavy duty perforated screen, cleaning it of waste and allowing the conveying air to pass through with minimal pressure drop. The wear resistant rubber strips then form an airtight seal with the lower section of the separator and the rotor conveys waste product to the discharge of the unit without releasing any air pressure into the baler or compactor below.

Paramount - Conveyor Belt Roto Feeder

The Paramount Roto-Feeder design replaces problematic conveyor belts beneath production machines. Its secret lies in a regulated transfer of waste into a single high velocity conveying duct, serving up to ten converting machines. The waste from each converting machine is fed through the Roto-Feeder directly into a main air duct mounted in a floor trench below the converting machines. The conveying fan can be located within a pit in a convenient location at the end of the row of production machines or even remotely. The system avoids the need for noisy fans adjacent to each production machine or belt conveyors that can jam with waste. Roto-Feeder systems are sealed negative pressure units that ensure all waste dust entering the system remains there, not escaping into your plant.

AirShredder - Remote Baler Feeding System with Dump-Gate Shredder

The AirShredder is fed by a dump-gate between the folder and stacker. It automatically receives reject copy and shreds it, delivering it to a pneumatic conveying system feeding a remotely sited baler or compactor. Since the system is totally automatic it frees up operator time at the most crucial stage of the production process - during the critical register and colour matching process at start-ups and re-starts.

Paramount - Model Standard - Mini-System

The standard Mini-System is a cost effective solution for the small printer or print finisher. Designed to service a single 3-knife trimmer, the Mini-System utilises a blower to induce an airflow in the machine pick-up, which then conveys the waste to a simple separator/dissipator positioned above the clients waste cage or bin. The system is supplied as a self assembly kit containing all necessary fixings and fittings, which can be adapted at the time of manufacture to suit a number of configurations.

Paramount AirDeck - Removes Board Waste from Rotary Printer Slotters

The Paramount AirDeck removes board waste from rotary printer slotters avoiding the use of problematic conveyor systems. It utilises a laminar airflow to move offcuts to a collection point conveniently located at the side of the machine. Board printers have always had a problem with belt waste removal systems on rotary printer-slotters. Belts have a tendency to jam and gather waste around the rollers; the tranverse system whereby waste is transferred from one belt to another is problematic and belt tracking and maintenance are perennial problems. Very often expensive engineering work is required to build a floor pit.

Paramount - Venturi Waste Extraction Systems

Paramount Waste Extraction can supply Venturi or `Eductor` systems to suit your specific requirements. The advantage of these systems is that they enable waste, whether it be in the form of a continuous trim or other, to be conveyed to a remote collection point without the need to chop the waste. Contamination of the waste is kept to a minimum, maximising the value of the recycled product.
