Gas Delivery Systems

EquaFlow - Manifold

EquaFlow manifolds solve three of the classic problems associated with anesthesia delivery. First, the EquaFlow utilizes a hyperbranching architecture to deliver equal gas to each nose cone to prevent unwanted animals awakening. Second, the EquaFlow incorporates a vacuum ring at the edge to the nose cone pocket to scavenge 99.99% of waste gas before it can escape. Finally, the EquaFlow dramatically enhances animal ergonomics because they receive anesthetic gas while laying flat on the imaging or benchtop surface. These manifolds can be used in the prep area outside an optical imaging station, in our 3 or 5 mouse sealed imaging chambers for Bruker or Perkin Elmer, or inside a given imaging system as a stand alone manifold.

Universal Rodent Nosecone Non-Rebreathing System

Includes a Mapleson-D type body and lab animal anesthesia nosecone for use with rodents up to 275 grams. For larger rodents other sizes are available (Rodent Masks). The Universal Rodent Nosecone Mapleson-D body is smaller than the typical Mapleson-D type body which reduces dead space even further and makes it ideal for very small rodents. The Universal Rodent Nosecone comes with a latex diaphragm which seals around the nose of the rodent and reduces the amount of anesthetic gases that may leak into the room. The diaphragm also helps hold the nosecone in place. Extra latex diaphragm material is included.

Patterson - Five-Mouse Imaging Chamber

Patterson Scientific’s five-mouse or three-mouse Imaging Chamber is designed for use with the Caliper IVIS Optical Imaging System. This lab animal anesthesia Imaging Chamber is sealed such that waste anesthetic gases do not escape into the workplace.  With the use of Hepa Filters, pathogens cannot get in or out of the Imaging Chamber. The Equaflow 5/3 mouse manifolds increases throughput for studies using the Optical Imaging System.

Patterson - Model Vapor-Vac - Hooded Induction Chamber

The Vapor-Vac Hooded Induction Chamber works with active vacuum waste gas management systems by allowing room air to be drawn into the waste anesthetic collection system as well as the waste gases from the induction chamber. If room air is not allowed to be pulled into the waste collection system, the vacuum will pull most of the fresh anesthetic gas out of the induction chamber before the animal is able to be anesthetized. The Vapor-Vac Hooded Induction chamber has a slide top style lid which reduces exposure to waste anesthetic gases compared to lift style lid induction chambers. Our Vapor-Vac Hooded Induction Chamber is constructed out of durable PVC plastic. Unlike research anesthesia induction chambers made out of acrylic, these chambers are shatter resistant and will not break down when exposed to harsh cleaning agents.  Handles are made from durable acetal material for strength and cleanliness.
