Abrasion

Paul-N-Gardner - Model D10 & D16 - Washability / Linear Test Equipment

Model D10 is offered by Gardco as an improvement over existing washability machines. It is a single cycle rate (cyc/min) machine with all of the other advantages listed (see Characteristics Common To All Models) for the entire Gardco line of Linear Motion Test Equipment. Model D16 is basically the same as Model D10 except it provides a six inch longer stroke length and accommodates a longer test panel.

Adhesion

Paul-N-Gardner - Model P.A.T. - Paint Adhesion Test Kit

The P-A-T Paint Adhesion Test Kit produced by Gardco contains all of the tools and materials needed, except for the multi-tooth cutter blade, for conducting adhesion tests on paints applied to a flat, uniform surface in accordance with ASTM Test Method D3359, method B and DIN Standard No. 53151. The multi-tooth cutter blade is furnished separately to permit choice among the various available designs.

Color Measurement

Color Plot - Portable Imaging Spectrocolorimeter

The Color Plot Imaging Spectrocolorimeter bridges the gap between color appearance and material — from incoming material batches to outgoing product shipments — in an elegant, portable unit that fits comfortably in your hand.

Density

Paul-N-Gardner - Stainless Steel Weight Per Gallon Cups

Weight per Gallon Cups are used to quickly and accurately determine the weight per gallon, and also the specific gravity of paints, lacquer, pastes, semi-pastes, and other liquid or semi-liquid materials. Until the middle of 1989, GARDCO weight per gallon cups were fabricated using Series 300 Stainless Steel for the sidewall and the easier machined but less corrosion resistant Series 400 Stainless Steel for the base and cover. Now, with the installation of state-of-the-art computer controlled metal cutting machinery, these cups are machined from Series 300 Stainless Steel solid bar stock.

Dispersion - Fineness of Grind Gages

Paul-N-Gardner - Stainless Steel Fineness of Grind Gages

Grind Gages - The Grind Gages also called Hegman gages. Many types of solid materials must be ground or milled into finer particles for dispersion in appropriate liquid vehicles. The physical properties of the resulting dispersions, often called "grinds", depend not only on the actual size of the individual particles, but also on the degree to which they are dispersed.

Drum Handling

Paul-N-Gardner - Tilt-to-Load Drum Rotator

Mixing in a Closed Drum Means Less Hazards Using a Morse Drum Rotator eliminates spills, splashing of dangerous contents on workers, and risk of contamination. Now you can get the benefits of mixing inside closed shipping drums and have the machine do the work of loading and unloading itself! Morse 310 Series models accept the drum upright at floor level. The user controls hydraulic tilting action that raises the drum into position for rotating. A second valve allows the operator to start and stop the hydraulic motor that drives rotation.

Drying Time Measurement

Paul-N-Gardner- - Model DTR - ASTM D5895 - Gardco Quadracycle

The Drying Time recorder consists of a stepper motor mounted on a rubber tipped tripod. The arm and ball assembly has a counter-poised vertical stylus consisting of a Teflon 3/8 in. (10 mm) ball stylus and a counter weight to adjust to zero. The Teflon stylus typically under a 12g load (weight supplied) is moved in a 360 degree arc at a pre-selected fixed speed.

Film Flaws

Paul-N-Gardner - Holiday Detector

The Tinker & Rasor Model M/1 Detector is known worldwide as the best choice for the inspection of thin film coatings (0-20 mils). This detector is non-destructive and the applied voltage to the coating never exceeds 67-1/2 volts at any time.

Dry Film Thickness

Paul-N-Gardner - Byko Test Dry Film Thickness Gauges

Four measurements in one instrument: Film thickness Fe/NFe, Dew Point, Air Temperature, Relative Humidity.
