This, the smallest unit, comes with a Velcro strap that can be used to affix it to a water pipe (e.g. under the sink), in the bathroom (e.g. on a shower fixture) and/or on a faucet or tap. The small AquaKat® is also well suited for travelling, for use in hotels or recreational vehicles and for use in conjunction with a water filtration or reverse osmosis system – in which case it should be placed after these devices.

Just 6.5” (16 cm) of free pipe segment is required to install an AquaKat 2” [The smaller AquaKat 1” requires even less room]. As shown in the assemble instructions (below), these devices are comprised of two interlocking semi-circular halves. The two halves are fitted around the water pipe and snapped together. Foam fitters (which are provided) are then placed at each end to center the AquaKat® around the pipe and hold it in place.

A 10 inch (25 cm) long, straight and free pipe segment is sufficient for the installation of the AquaKat 8+ (or larger unit). Foam (provided) is used as a spacer and anti-slip device between the pipe and the AquaKat 8+, which can then be locked in place (locks provided).
